Chatten HEP

Chatten hydro electric project is located on chagyachu stream in the North Sikkim, Mangan district and the project was commissioned in June 2022. Project has two units of 1.50 MW each with total capacity of 3 MW

Project envisages construction of Trench weir DT, desilting basin, 710 m long 800 mm dia head race pipe, 17 m high 4 m dia surge shaft and 740 mm dia 429 m long penstock and a surface power house having 2 x 1500 kW Pelton Turbine.
